Epson 230 ink cartridges are what many people use to print on a regular basis. They are economical, easy to install and offer great quality prints. Unfortunately, they can sometimes become clogged, which can lead to poor quality prints and even errors when printing. Fortunately, there are steps you can take to clean your Epson 230 ink cartridges and get them working properly again.
The first step is to remove the cartridge from the printer. This may require you to open the top cover of the printer, but when done correctly, it should be easy enough to do. Once the cartridge has been removed, you can then use a dry cloth or swab to gently wipe away any visible dirt or dust from both the front and back of the cartridge. Be sure to do this carefully, as you do not want to damage the cartridge in any way.
Next, you will want to fill a container with warm water and a small amount of mild soap. Place the cartridge into the solution and let it soak for a few minutes. This will help to loosen any clogs or debris that may be causing your printer to not work properly. After the soak, remove the cartridge from the solution and gently use a soft cloth to clean the outside. Make sure you do not rub too hard, as this could cause damage to the cartridge.
