Christina is on a two week vacation.克里斯蒂娜有两个星期的假期。
This is the first vacation she has had for a long time.这是她很久以来的第一个假期。
The last vacation she took was more than two years ago.她上次休假是两年多以前。
Now she is visiting a friend in San Francisco.现在她正在旧金山拜访一位朋友。
Her friend and her husband are living near the center of the city.她的朋友和丈夫住在市中心附近。

Then Christina quit her job and started her own business.然后克里斯蒂娜辞掉了工作，开始了自己的事业。
She designs women's clothing.她设计女装。
She has 2 employees now and her company is slowly growing.她现在有两名员工，她的公司正在缓慢发展。
Christina has come to San Francisco by herself .她还没有阿奇里斯蒂娜一个人来旧金山。
Her husband didn't come because he has to work.她丈夫没有来，因为他要工作。
He tried to start a company 2 years ago but it didn't work out.两年前他想开一家公司，但没有成功。

So now he's working at another company and saving money.所以现在他在另一家公司工作，正在存钱。
Once he saves enough money he plans to start another company.一旦攒够了钱，他打算再开一家公司。
He doesn't want to give up.他不想放弃。
This is the second time Christina has been to San Francisco.这是克里斯蒂娜第二次来旧金山。
The first time was when she was a high school student.第一次是在她上高中的时候。
That was more than 10 years ago.那是十多年前的事了。
During that trip she was only in San Francisco for a few days.那次旅行她只在旧金山待了几天
After that she went to Los Angeles and New York.之后她去了洛杉矶和纽约。
This time she and her friend plan to relax and have fun.这一次，她和她的朋友计划放松和玩得开心。

Christina arrived two days ago, the day before yesterday.克里斯蒂娜是两天前到的，前天到的。
Her friend met her at the airport and drove her to her apartment.她的朋友在机场接她，开车送她去公寓。
Her apartment is just North of the airport about 20 minutes from San Francisco.她的公寓就在机场北边，离旧金山大约20分钟车程。
It's a small apartment, but it's on a hill and it has a great view.这是一间小公寓，但它在山上，而且风景很好。
Yesterday they went downtown and rode the cable cars.昨天他们去了市中心，乘坐了缆车。
Christina was surprised by how steep the hills are.克里斯蒂娜对这些山有多陡感到惊讶。
Then they walked along the ocean and ate lunch at a seafood restaurant.然后他们沿着大海散步，在一家海鲜餐馆吃午饭。
From the restaurant, they could see the Golden Gate Bridge.从餐馆里，他们可以看到金门大桥。
Tomorrow, they're planning to drive to Yosemite National Park.明天，他们打算开车去优胜美地国家公园。
By car, it's about 4 hours away.开车去，大约4小时车程
Christina has never been there before, so she is excited.克里斯蒂娜以前从未去过那里，所以她很兴奋。
She has heard that the park is very beautiful.她听说公园很漂亮。
Her friend has been to Yosemite several times.她的朋友去过约塞米蒂好几次。
She says it's one of the most beautiful places in the world.她说那是世界上最美的地方之一。
Christina just hopes that her friend is a good driver.克里斯蒂娜只是希望她的朋友是个好司机。
