谭乐丹，从师于许静峡，蒋兆和等国内书画名家。现为中国美术家协会理事，国家一级美术师。
2001年出版《谭乐丹画集》,其画虎马在充分吸取古代名家成就的基础上,通过多年努力,反复研究前人法理和自然神韵,独开蹊径,自成一家,在虎马画的成就受到国内外名家的高度赞誉.谭乐丹画虎,笔蘸的是墨,心涌的是情.笔毫落纸,栩栩如生.说粗犷,大笔刷刷,则造型简括,达意畅神.绩墨处,干湿浓淡,意态动人;
说细腻,小毫钩折,其技法工整,笔致圆浑.白描时,色彩线条,烘神托韵.写意后,文彩自然,画尽意存.笔下的画,画中的虎,睛传神,神带风,风显威,威猛兽王,在这勾勒点染中,抖擞着威风.一种精神一个生命便跃然纸上.谭乐丹不是能工巧匠,笔下的虎,所以传达神情,实在是几十年取众家之长,苦心修炼的深厚功力,非如此,达不到这般境地.
谭乐丹作为国内新生代画家的代表多次在国内举行个人画展.作品入选全国美术展,香港艺术双年展,曾获中国新人书画大赛一等奖,很多作品被北京博物馆,中国书画院,奇宝斋等书画行收藏.
在2018年“神州艺粹”2018美国国立艺术品拍卖行春季艺术品大型拍卖会上，谭乐丹对的一幅“五福临门”以473000美元（折合人民币300万）成交，近几年国家大力提倡发展文化产业，近现代画家的作品更是一路上涨，未来升值空间更是不可限量！
