English|Tencent Music Launches China's First Virtual Musical Festival TMELAND
BEIJING, December 24 (TMTPOST) — Chinese music streaming giant Tencent Music Entertainment launched China’s first virtual music festival TMELAND on Friday, which is now available for appointment on QQ Music.
The event will take place on December 31 and broadcast through video platforms like QQ, WeChat and Tencent Video.
TMELAND works with virtual experience provider XVerse to develop a digital space fused with reality and the virtual world using innovative technologies such as end-to-cloud collaboration.

Users will be able to enter TMELAND through Tencent Music Entertainment’s products such as QQ Music and create their own virtual avatar for the festival. Immersive concert and live streaming experience will be provided for users at TMELAND, the company said.
Besides TMELAND, another virtual concert that celebrates the new year will also take place simultaneously, which will feature emerging Chinese artists like Anti-General, world top 100 DJ Luminn, DEXTER KING and DJ Vicetone, etc.
TMELAND is designed as a “futuristic city” with virtual spaces like a conch-shaped dance club and a music museum to showcase the music industry. Visitors to TMELAND will be welcomed by a cyberpunk virtual city vibrant with neon lights and firework shows.
In TMELAND, visitors can live a virtual life and participate in activities like visiting the music museum with friends, playing games, attending virtual concerts, doing virtual livestream and many other entertainments. Visitors can even interact with music artists and other music lovers on virtual livestreams in TMELAND.
In the future, TMELAND will allow users to create their and decorate their own digital islands. Music artists can also have access to tools, resources and incubation programs to make music and content in TMELAND.
