Epson 230 ink cartridges are one of the most commonly used ink cartridges in the market. They are designed to be used with Epson printers, and are designed to provide excellent print quality, as well as being able to handle a variety of media types.
The first step in disassembling an Epson 230 ink cartridge is to remove the top plastic piece. This can be done by simply pulling gently on the plastic tab that is located on the top of the cartridge. Once the top plastic piece is removed, the second plastic piece can be accessed by twisting the top of the cartridge to the left. This will unlock the cartridge and allow the second plastic piece to be removed.
The next step is to remove the ink cartridge itself. This can be done by simply loosening the four screws on the side of the cartridge. Once the screws are loosened, the cartridge can be easily removed by using a flathead screwdriver.
After the cartridge is removed, the ink canister can be accessed by popping off the small plastic tab located on the bottom of the cartridge. This will reveal the metal housing for the ink canister. This can then be unscrewed with a Phillips head screwdriver. Once the metal housing has been removed, the ink canister can be removed by carefully pulling it out.
Finally, the metal contact pin needs to be removed. This can be done by inserting a flathead screwdriver into the small hole on the side of the metal contact pin. Once the metal contact pin has been removed, the entire cartridge can now be safely disposed of.
