Canon E478 Waste Ink Reset
Canon E478 waste ink reset procedure is necessary for users to prepare the machine for a regular or basic maintenance. The procedure is quite simple, but should be done with care and only when your printer is not in use. This reset procedure should help you to save money on cartridges and reduce the amount of ink waste.
1. Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cord.
2. Wait for a few minutes, and then turn the printer back on.
3. Open the cover and locate the waste ink pads. These are located on the right side of the printer, near the cartridge slots.
4. Unscrew the screws that secure the waste ink pads and pull out the pads. Be careful not to damage the pads.
5. Using a manual paper clip, press the reset button inside the waste ink pads. This will reset the ink levels in the Canon E478 printer.
6. Put the waste ink pads back in their place, and secure them with screws.
7. Close the printer cover and turn it back on.
