ERROR 5B00: Ink Absorber is Full
The Canon Pixma MG2580 printer is designed to hold a certain amount of ink. Over time the ink is absorbed by the absorbent pads in the base of the printer. When these absorbent pads reach their capacity, the MG2580 printer will display an error code 5B00 and the printer will stop working.
To remove the error code, you must reset the printer. First, turn off the printer and unplug it from power source. Next, locate the waste ink pad inside the printer. This will be located in the base of the printer. Carefully remove the waste ink pad from the printer, and replace it with a new one. Once the waste ink pad has been replaced, plug the printer back in and turn it back on.
