Bird, Spin and Lime all showed preference for employees over contract workers, hoping to get a better quality control. At the moment, however, it is still unclear whether this business model will work well as the companies expand. Full time employees cost thirty percent more than contract workers, and many people only wish to work with scooters on a part-time basis.

美国的代步车初创公司正在雇佣全职员工去进行对代步车的修理，充电和移动的工作。Bird, Spin 和 Lime 这三家公司都或多或少的倾向于全职员工而不是全部兼职员工的模式，他们希望这样能更好的把握员工的工作质量。但是目前还不清楚这样的模式是否在公司业务扩展后同样适用。公司要为正式员工比花比兼职员工多百分之三十的费用，而且很多人只是想在一个代步车公司做兼职。
