A new report about the happiness index of people around the world shows that the Nordic people have the highest happiness index.The Chinese people are at medium levels.
Today China is the world's second largest economy.People's living standards improved significantly.But why aren't the Chinese happy?
In my opinion, there are two major reasons.First, China's economic development is uneven.The problem of uneven development in different regions and the big gap between rich and poor is the most obvious.The overall development of China's western region lags behind that of the east, and some remote areas are inconvenient for transportation, which limits economic development.
The other reason is China has a large gap between rich and poor, the middle class is not high, and the wealth is too concentrated.According to the 2018 Forbes global rich list, China has 476 people on the list, second only to the United States.But working people earn only about 3,000 yuan a month.They also face rising prices and housing prices.Many young people feel the pressure of life is too great .TMany farmers and workers have low incomes and low social status.These will exacerbate social tensions and maybe lead to class conflict.This is bad for a socialist country.
Increase the happiness index need to deal with the above questions, so for a wide range, high depth of reform is beneficial to solve China's social contradictions, that is why China is now actively reform.
