三星galaxysii, later named N. Bicincta, is a species of fungus known from two isolated, individual colonies in the British Isles. The specimens collected from two separate locations in south-west England, in Dales, Somerset and Devon, were first collected in the mid-1980d in the mid-1980 s by John Martin, with the aim of documenting their status. Their total number is uncertain because it is unknown how many individuals remain. The last collection was by John Martin in 1984, and only 14 individuals remain from the entire group. The oldest specimens date from the late 18th and early 19th18th and early 19th centuries. At the time they were generally considered to be of Middle Eocene age, but recent dating techniques have shown that they might be in fact older than this.
