2016 年 11 月 7 日，世界卫生组织（WHO）也发布了关于开展常规产前保健（ANC）的综合建议，以推动健康促进、筛查和诊断以及疾病预防。

产前筛查主要有几个主要目的：
1）为受影响婴儿的出生向父母提供信息并做好准备；
2）允许在子宫内治疗，或在专科中心分娩，以便立即进行产后治疗；
3）允许受影响的胎儿终止妊娠；
4）提供信息，使父母可以在以上选择之间做出抉择。
尽管产前筛查也无法 100% 预测出生后的情况，无论产前筛查的结果如何，都给了我们机会去提前发现和预知未知风险的可能。
美人鱼的传说没有终结，但结局或许可以改变。（策划：Leu.）
